Projected Playoff Standings for 2018

Now that I have done my projected standings for each of the six divisions, here is how I see the postseason shaping up. Have to say it was very difficult trying to project these simply because there are so many talented teams and a handful that I could see winning it all. However, here's how I believe the postseason will shape up.


I. RECAP OF THE DIVISION STANDINGS (PROJECTED): 

A. National League: 

1. West - Diamondbacks
2. Central - Cubs
3. East - Nationals
4. Wild Card I - Dodgers
5. Wild Card II - Mets

* In Contention until the Very End: Rockies, Brewers 
* Relevant until Start of September: Phillies

B. American League: 

1. West - Astros
2. Central - Twins
3. East - Yankees
4. Wild Card I - Red Sox
5. Wild Card II - Indians

* In Contention until the Very End: Mariners, Angels, Blue Jays, Orioles 
* Relevant until Start of September: White Sox

II. WILD CARD GAMES (PROJECTED): 

A. National League: 

Dodgers vs. Mets = Dodgers

B. American League: 

Red Sox vs. Indians = Indians

III. LEAGUE DIVISIONAL SERIES (PROJECTED): 

A. National League: 

Dodgers vs. Nationals = Nationals
Cubs vs. Diamondbacks = Cubs

B. American League: 

Indians vs. Astros = Indians
Twins vs. Yankees = Yankees

IV. LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (PROJECTED):
